Andrea Gracia
I have been practicing Yoga for a little bit more than 9 years. Yoga and I found each-other when I was living in México, my homeland. Throughout the years I have witnessed how yoga has transformed the way I appreciate my body and my life; when life seems to have turned dark or too complicated, my practice is the only thing that remains constant.
After years of learning from amazing teachers in México and in my current home here in Canada, I decided to make one of my biggest dreams come true: Travel to India and Study Yoga in its birth place.
I was trained in Ashtanga and traditional Hatha Yoga both in theory and practice by my Teacher Yogiji Yogendra Mishra, in the banks of the beautiful Himalayas in Rishikesh. This immersive training and staying with a family of Yogis in the north of India gave me a different perspective of this ancient practice.
Apart from having my 200HR YTT certification in India, I completed another 200HR YTT at Therapeutic Approach Yoga Studio, and a beautiful Mentorship program at Aumbience Yoga, both here in Halifax. I am currently taking a Prenatal certification with Clare Newman at Mamata Yoga.
What I have learned from my experiences in India, my teachers in México and Canada, and my personal practice over the years is what I wish to share with people.
