June: Lisa Jardine
Lisa is a graduate of Halifax Yoga’s inaugural 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training program, and assisted the last two years in the HY YTT program by mentoring, facilitating and holding space for new yoga teachers. She has studied Yoga for Emotional Balance with Bo Forbes at Kripalu and will be attending a 10 day silent meditation Vipassana in Montebello, Quebec in early June.
Lisa loves to find linkages between current medical discoveries and ancient yogic philosophy such as Samskara and Neuroplasticity and weaving these concepts into practical, accessible themes for her Restorative classes.
Lisa empowers her students to develop a deep body awareness, by encouraging students to use intention and attention while their body relaxes deeply into long held poses. She incorporates breath techniques or pranayama to bring students to the present moment and find space and awareness in that moment.
Lisa creates an inviting, inclusive space in which to practice and to absorb the highly medicinal asana’s of Restorative Yoga. Encouraging students to re-connect with their own intuitive knowledge of what their mind, body and spirit need in the moment.
Join her for a Restorative Class soon and find the POWER of BEING in the moment.
